STOCKTON (AP) — Pacific head coach Ron Verlin and assistant Dwight Young are leaving the school.

The two coaches have been suspended since December stemming from an NCAA investigation into allegations of academic misconduct. Athletic director Ted Leland said Thursday that Verlin and Young were no longer employed by the school.

Leland thanked interim coach Mike Burns for taking over in a challenging time. Pacific previously banned itself from postseason play and announced a reduction in scholarships as part of the investigation.

The Tigers finished 8-20 overall and 6-12 in the West Coast Conference.
