 Elias Lopez connected with Devin Cortinas for two touchdowns to lead the Manteca Cowboys varsity to a 34-0 win over the Stockton Panthers in Central Valley Youth Football and Cheer action.

Lopez (65 yards passing, 25 yards rushing) and Cortinas teamed up on scoring plays of 17 and 28 yards. Terrence Montgomery (55 yards rushing) scored on a 45-yard run and Elijah Abadan returned a fumble caused by Johnathan Morales for a touchdown.

Manteca’s Tobias Cox made six tackles, Aiden Spino five and Abadan (interception) three.


Manteca Jr. Buffaloes 18, Tracy Buccaneers 0

Isaac Fountain, Isaiah Fountain, Isileli Lolohea, Keoni Oliver and Jose Rivera made up the formidable Manteca offense line that allowed the Jr. Buffaloes to rush for 275 yards.

Manteca’s Erian Johnson Jr. (10 carries 147 yards) scored on runs of 47 and 73 yards. Blake Scalise added a 4-yard touchdown run. Santino Sanchez added yards on five carries, and Vinny Diaz gained 35 yards on six carries.

Diaz (forced fumble) made 10 tackles with Johnson Jr., Santino Sanchez (fumble recovery) and Jose Rivera making five stops each.

Romeo Huerta, Mateo Gavino and Donavyn Williams each scored a touchdown for Manteca.

Gavino gained 68 yards on 10 carries, Huerta added 63 yards on eight carries and Galtney totaled 23 yards on three carries. Alejandro Hernandez directed the Cowboys offense.

Gavino, Angelo Martinez and Donavyn Williams made seven tackles apiece. Alex Gomes six, with three each for Sebastian Leon, David Salinas (fumble recovery) and Daniel Salcedo (forced fumble). Hudson Green, Johnathan Thomas, Dominic Bracamontes and

Xavier Duvernay all contributed on defense.


Junior varsity

Cowboys 36, Panthers 20

Manteca’s Izaiah Faye scored three touchdowns.

Faye (12 carries, 154 yards) scored on runs of 17, 18 and 45 yards, Brady Davis (six carries, 35 yards) scored on a 9-yard run and Christian Hernandez pulled in a 26-yard touchdown pass from

Nolan Mendez. Aiden Howe added 48 yards on five carries.

Josiah Hopkins made six tackles for the Cowboys, Christian Hernandez had four and David Espinosa three. Brady Davis made an interception and Jaden Grimal contributed on defense.


Buccaneers 19, Jr. Buffaloes 0

John Ellis, Max Rios, Jeremiah Silva and Maverick Brum contributed on offense for Manteca.

Brum made five tackles, Aiden Freitas four and Deshon Benton Jr. three. Grayson Keller and Ethan Bonderer contributed to the defense.


Rookies

Buccaneers 19, Jr. Buffaloes 18

Manteca’s Trenton Fitzhugh threw two touchdown passes to Steven Wynn Jr.

Fitzhugh’s scoring throws were of 7 and 23 yards. Dre Johnson added one rushing touchdown, gaining 113 yards on eight carries. Jeremiah Williams chipped in 72 yards on 12 carries.

Thomas Underwood and Mateo Mena made four tackles each for the Jr. Buffaloes with three apiece for Johnson and Elijah Ruiz. Michael Gulley forced and recovered a fumble, Derek Anthony recovered a fumble and Jakob Husband and Gilbert Maldonado each forced a fumble.

Cowboys 14, Panthers 6

Mario German and Frankie Nieto led the Manteca offense with two touchdowns in the second half.

Jackson Batterson and Cane Torres contributed to the Manteca offense.

The Cowboys defense was led by Aiden Gonzalez and Frankie Nieto with five tackles each followed by Cane Torres and Mario German with four apiece.


Buccaneers 6, Jr. Buffaloes 0 (OT)

Scoreless through four periods, Manteca’s Kota Haskell pulled in a 10-yard pass in overtime for the game-winning touchdown.

Brixxton Fryer chipped in 33 yards on seven carries for the Jr. Buffaloes.

Manteca’s Carter Louis totaled seven tackles, Fryer and Tiger Singh six apiece and Christian Cerna five. Carlos Gabriel Hernandez contributed to the defense.
