One pitch, one swing, one out — ball game.

With the tying run on deck for the Royals and two outs in the top of the sixth inning Monday night, Dylan Woods took the mound for the Yankees, and Kaleb Etter smacked Woods’ only offering to deep center where Sam Lucas got under the ball to squeeze the final out.

The 9-5 elimination win for the minor Yankees keeps the team alive in the in-house Manteca Little League tournament.

Lucas had the big bat for the Yankees, going 2 for 3 with a triple, two runs and in the five-run Yankees fourth he belted a two-RBI single. Braden Baltazar (2 for 3, RBI, run), Dani Davenport (RBI, double) and Dom Sanchez (two RBI) also contributed to the 11-hit Yankees attack.

Blake Salise (2 for 3) had a two-RBI double for the Royals and teammate Keoni Oliver was 2 fr 3 with an RBI.
