Chargers surge past Tracy Raiders in 4th quarter

 The Manteca Chargers varsity scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 20-6 win over the Tracy Raiders in Delta Youth Football action at Tracy High’s Wayne Schneider Stadium.

Manteca’s Josaiah Law-Lartigue tallied 121 yards on five carries with touchdown runs of 48 and 50 yards. Isaiah Ramirez (four carries, 25 yards) added a 6-yard scoring run and Carlin Plunk made two catches for 20 yards.

Law-Lartigue and Leonel Ayala made five tackles apiece with three each for Valentino Dominguez and Plunk. Sahibdeep Waraich forced and recovered a fumble.


Junior varsity

Chargers 14, Raiders 7

Manteca’s Maysen Cox stood out on both sides of the ball.

Cox (six carries, 156 yards) scored on runs of 51 and 75 yards while Julian Baez added 25 yards on four carries.

Cox made eight tackles, Diesel Spangler (interception) four and Dominick Jiminez three. Jayar Inong, Andrew Serrano and Kasin Salas all contributed on defense.


Novice

Raiders 8, Chargers 0

Christian Porter paced the Manteca defense which held Tracy scoreless for three quarters with five tackles.

Josiah Johnson (forced fumble, fumble recovery), Aiden Green, Issac Aguitar and Blake Rauchman made three tackles each for the Chargers.


Jr. Novice

Chargers 34, Raiders 0

Manteca’s Jameson Vargas and Legend Johnson scored two touchdowns each.

Jameson Vargas (five carries, 78 yards) scored on runs of 20 and 28 yards and Johnson (five carries, 30 yards) added 2- and 5-yard touchdown runs. Shayne Sutherland Jr. (seven carries, 112 yards) posted a 45-yard scoring run and Hudson Patton contributed to the offense.

Johnson made six tackles, Aiden Reyes and Jameson Vargas five each with four apiece for Sutherland Jr. and Grayson Flowers. Kyson Ramos and Benjamin Cabrera contributed to the Chargers defense.
