STOCKTON (AP) — Drew Ellis homered and doubled, scoring a couple of runs while also driving home two as the Visalia Rawhide topped the Stockton Ports 5-2 on Friday.

Visalia got on the board first in the fourth inning when Ellis hit a two-run home run and Mark Karaviotis hit an RBI double.
After Visalia added a run in the sixth on a home run by Varsho, the Ports cut into the deficit in the sixth inning when Nate Mondou scored on a ground out.
The Rawhide tacked on another run in the ninth when Pavin Smith hit an RBI single, bringing home Ellis.
Visalia right-hander Connor Grey (5-3) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing one run on just three hits over six innings.
Opposing starter Zack Erwin (5-4) took the loss in the California League game after allowing four runs and nine hits over seven innings. Tommy Eveld recorded his fifth save of the season.
