Isabel Tonna pitched a no-hitter in Manteca’s 2-0 win at Kimball on Thursday, striking out eight while facing only two batters over the minimum.

The junior walked two in her otherwise dominant performance from the circle. Her defense committed only one error.

“It was great to see Bel pitch like that today,” Manteca coach Josh Farris said. “She was awesome against a very good lineup, and our defense played well behind her.”

Tonna got all the run support she needed in the third and fourth innings. Jayana Dias belted an RBI double. Jocelyn Baptist also hit a double. She and Alesia Harris each went 2 for 3. Ayva Wilkins and Riley Ward plated the runs for Manteca (2-1), which totaled seven hits against Kimball pitchers Alexa Contreras and Briana Quintero.

The Buffaloes head to Tokay for another non-league tilt next Wednesday.
