ROUNDUP: Unbeaten East Union golfers dispatch Manteca

Paced by Jessica Ingalls’ 11-over 47, East Union kept its perfect record intact Thursday with a 255-281 win over Manteca at Manteca Park Golf Course.

The Lancers are now 4-0 in Valley Oak League matches, 5-0 overall.

Manteca’s Aleisa Harris finished as the runner-up with a 48. Third-place Arianna Pale carded a 49 for East Union. Kendall Perry (52), Alizae Farias (53) and Ava Gutierrez (54) also contributed to the Lancers’ score.

Manteca scorers included Emily Camara (51), Clare Crook (55), Layla Flannigan (62) and Rebecca Navarro (65).

Lathrop 263, Central Valley 275

The Spartans overcame medalist Kali Bernal’s 53 in the Western Athletic Conference tilt at Manteca Park Golf Course.

Kate Albisu led Lathrop with a 61. Yadira Hernandez (62), Ashley Yuuki Abon Garcia (67) and Kriselle Matela (73) also scored for the Spartans.


GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Manteca 3, Mountain House 1

The host Buffaloes (2-2, 7-5) held on for the 25-18, 15-25, 25-21, 25-17 VOL win.

Trinity Todd made her presence felt at the net with 10 kills and six blocks. Saniyah Anthony clobbered 14 kills. Riley Ward netted 27 assists and two kills. Nicole Ayala contributed 21 digs and two aces.

Kamiyah Johnson and Peyton McDonald (two kills) chipped in nine and six digs, respectively.


East Union 3, Patterson 0

Meritiana Luani served 19 points, including eight aces, and added six kills to the attack, as the Lancers (3-1 VOL, 4-5 overall) swept at home, 25-10, 25-20, 25-22.

Katelyn Trevino accumulated 18 kills, seven service points and four aces. Setter Marcella Carranza dished out 33 assists. Lilyan Frye pitched in five kills and two blocks.


JV girls volleyball

Manteca 2, Mountain House 1
Manteca staved off the Mustangs for the 25-23, 16-25, 15-9 win.

Annika Burns led the attack with 24 assists and two kills. Audree McKee added 15 service points, 10 digs, six kills, three aces and a block.

Chloe Martin and Madeline Nunes notched 23 and 13 digs, respectively.


East Union 2, Patterson 0

The Lancers improved to 4-0 in the VOL and 7-1 overall with the sweep.

Fatima Cornejo, Kennedy McLeod (two digs, 12 service points) and Emily Pires each had four kills. Lucija Dayeh tallied 14 assists and three kills. Elle Baluyut chipped in 14 digs, four assists and two kills.


Frosh girls volleyball

Manteca 2, Mountain House 1

The Buffs came back to prevail, 19-25, 25-10, 15-8.

Lana Bondoc accumulated 32 digs, 15 service points, four aces and two kills. Jill Aldape added 11 assists, eight digs and six kills. Katie Anderson had five kills and four digs.


East Union 2, Patterson 0

The Lancers (2-2 VOL, 3-5 overall) coasted to a 25-8, 25-15 win behind Maria Kalladankll’s 17 service points, seven aces and six assists.

Kandace Rossi racked up three kills. Camille Christensen and Isabella Lopez (block) contributed two kills each.
