 Low medalist Cameron Seefeldt keyed Ripon’s 169-177 win over Ripon Christian in Trans-Valley League girls golf action on Tuesday.

Playing from the No. 4 spot in the lineup, Seefeldt finished 8-over-par 39. She was followed by runner-up Dylann Ballard’s 40. Sienna Pimentel added a 42, and No. 6 player Brynn Daley rounded out the Indians’ score with a 48. Ripon improved to 7-2 in league. Skylar Pimentel, sister Sienna and Ballard were honored after the match for senior day.

Ripon Christian (3-5) was paced by Ellie Kowes’ 42. Brittany Dugo chipped in with a 43, while Julia Van Groningen and Sophia Cheney each had a 46.


Lathrop 328, Ceres 332

The Spartans squeaked out the Western Athletic Conference win at Manteca Park Golf Course behind Ashley Abon’s 58 score. Ceres’ Allison Lewis was low medalist with a 15-over 36.

Other scorers for Lathrop: Madison Dash (62), Yadira Hernandez (64), Kate Albisu (69) and Kriselle Matela (75).


GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Ripon Christian 3, Hughson 2

The Knights (5-3, 11-12 overall) secured an important road win in the competitive Trans-Valley League, rolling, 25-23, 23-25, 17-25, 25-11, 15-4.

Hughson (3-5, 11-10) was as its best early on but could not close out the opening set after staking an 18-8 lead.

Ripon Christian got double-double efforts from outside hitter Paige Van Hofwegan with 14 kills and 11 digs and setter Alanna Blanco with 44 assists and 12 digs.

Alyssa Hofman contributed 13 kills to the attack. Reagan Van Der Hoek came through for four blocks. Anneke Dyt paced the defense with 14 digs, while Tatum Sonke had 11.


Lathrop 3, Grace Davis 0

Lathrop (9-0, 14-7 overall) maintained its lead in the WAC with the 25-10, 25-13, 25-18 sweep at home Monday.

Elizabeth Andrade amassed nine service aces to go with four kills and eight digs. Siliana Fa’ataualofa contributed six kills, five digs and a block. Erin Chunn had three aces, two kills and three digs.

Setter Ayden Petroff produced 12 assists and three aces. Libero Justine Mabutas netted 18 digs, three assists and two aces. Annie Milan pitched in eight digs and three aces.


FLAG FOOTBALL

East Union 34, Central Catholic 7

Kaylee Mejia set the tone for the Lancers (7-2 VOL, 13-4 overall) on the first snap, scoring on a 60-yard pass from Juliana Gaspar.

Ava Barrera and Larissa Harries both had an offensive touchdown and a pick-six. Caliyah Lopez and Barrera added successful point-after tries.

Alexa Bretao led the defense with six tackles. Barrera and Mejia each had four.


JV girls volleyball

Lathrop 2, Grace Davis 0

The host Spartans held on for the 25-21, 25-22 win.

Rosemary Libaste led them with nine digs and five aces. Brianna Valencia recorded five aces and seven digs to go with two kills.

Hazel Beltran chipped in four kills and two digs. Zoha Ali had two kills and three blocks. Vivianna Salcedo dished out 10 assists.


Frosh girls volleyball

Lathrop 2, Grace Davis 0

Andrea Lemus served up a whopping 12 aces, as Lathrop cruised to the 25-15, 25-2 victory.

Audrina Fisher led the attack with seven kills. Cassidy Fa’ali’i contributed four aces.

Lilyanna Murillo picked up seven digs, and Alexza Bringas added four assists, three digs and two aces.
