Ripon Christian’s girls volleyball team tuned up for big Trans-Valley League contests ahead on Monday.
The Knights visited Manteca for a non-league match and rolled to the 25-17, 25-20, 25-22 sweep.
Paige Van Hofwegen led them with stellar all-around play, turning in 14 kills, 14 digs and two blocks. She had no attacking errors and recorded an impressive .424 hitting percentage.
Setter Alanna Blano also had a double-double with 28 assists and 14 digs. Anneke Dyt and Tatum Sonke picked up 12 digs apiece.
Haley Kootstra and Morgan Schenk rounded out the attack with nine and six kills, respectively.
Ripon Christian won the JV and freshman matches in two sets each.
The Knights (12-12) take on TVL-leading Ripon tonight, while Manteca (12-10) returns to Valley Oak League play and hosts Mountain House.

In Modesto, the Spartans (10-1, 16-2 overall) put together a complete effort two days ahead of their big rematch with Western Athletic Conference-leading Livingston.
Luz De Luna threw for 200 six yards and six touchdowns, completing 17 of 29 passes. Dayanna Martinez led the defense with eight tackles, two pass breakups and an interception.
Aaliyah Thompson, Stephanie Lopez, Heiddy Camacho, Faith Allen and Sareah Reed each reeled in two passes in the balanced attack.
