Olivia Maragos and the rest of the Ripon girls soccer team had their way with Sonora in a 4-2 win Wednesday at Stouffer Field.
The senior striker scored all four goals, and the comfortable victory over the second-place Wildcats clinches a sixth consecutive Trans-Valley League championship for Ripon (10-0, 15-3-1 overall).
Maragos’ goals came in the 24th, 31st, 44th and 50th minutes. Taylen Dayak assisted two of them, and Madelyn Reedy was in on one.
Goalie Ellena Parenti compiled six saves, as the Indians held a 16-11 edge on shot attempts. Sonora (8-2-1, 10-3-1) got late goals from Estrella Machado and Hailey Watkins to avoid the shutout.
Ripon is holding its regular-season home finale Friday against Escalon before closing TVL play next Monday at Hilmar.
Ripon Christian 1, Escalon 0
The visiting Knights (5-5 TVL, 11-7-1 overall) outshot Escalon 27-6 but could only put away the one goal.
Alyssa Hofman broke the tie in the middle of the second half, getting an assist from Alanna Blanco. Morgan Schenk got the shutout.
Ripon Christian is back on the road Friday when it heads to Orestimba.
Sierra 1, Patterson 0
Sierra (10-1, 19-3-2 overall) is a win away from garnering the outright Valley Oak League title. The Timberwolves lead second-place Oakdale by two points with one game to go.
They got the deciding goal from senior striker Hailey Cruz, who was assisted by Leslie Reyes. Goalkeeper Abigail Fraser kept the sheet clean with seven saves.
Sierra wraps up league play next Monday at home against Mountain House.
BOYS SOCCER
Ripon Christian 6, Escalon 0
The Knights (3-3-4, 8-4-6) are making a charge at one of the automatic playoff berths in the Trans-Valley League having gone seven straight matches without a loss. The last time Ripon Christian qualified was in the fall 2014 season.
RC previously tied Escalon (1-6-3, 2-11-6) in a 5-5 barnburner but left no doubt in the rematch Wednesday at home, rolling to a 4-0 halftime lead. Drew Meester assisted the first three goals in the fifth, 10th and 28th minutes.
Freshmen Collin Lecain and Colton Veldstra scored two goals apiece, while Noah DeBruyn and Reagan Sauer each had one. Daniel Lambdin, Ben Miller and Isaiah Vander Woude each contributed an assist.
Goalie Josh Crivello had three saves.
Ripon Christian plays its final home game of the regular season Friday against Orestimba.
Ripon 2, Sonora 2
Chris Armanious and Alejandro Prieto scored one goal apiece, and Anthony Rivera came up with four saves to help Ripon (4-2-4 TVL, 10-10-4 overall) salvage a result at Sonora (3-7-1, 4-13-1).

Kylee Pimentel produced a hat trick, while Kaylee Rodriguez (two assists) and Roxy Le (assist) each had a brace. Analia Carillo dished out four assists.
