Things went according to plan for the Ripon Indians Wednesday in their Trans Valley League match with Riverbank High, as they stopped the Bruins with relative ease in a 25-13, 25-12 and 25-12 win at Ripon High.
The Indians (5-0 TVL, 19-4 overall) used another impressive performance from captain Kelsey Johnston, who turned in a game-high 41 assists and four aces in Ripon’s fifth straight TVL win. Cheyann Deprue led the club with 17 kills and 16 digs.
Ripon sophomore Alyssa Leslie also contributed eight kills, as did Johnston. Sophomore Bridgette Gall also chipped in with 10 kills. Senior Paulina Ceja made her presence felt with 11 digs.
Ripon will try and remain perfect in TVL play when they host Orestimba High Monday at 6:30 p.m.
