Sierra defeated visiting Armijo 20-8 Friday night with 8-minute running quarters brought about because transportation issues for the Royals that necessitated a 90-minute start delay at Daniel Teicheira Memorial Stadium.  

Ryan Reyes was in on two touchdowns for the Timberwolves with a 25-yard pass to A.J. Chapman and a 1-yard run. Riley Kane added the other Sierra touchdown on a 5-yard run.

 

Manteca 38, Rocklin 7

Nikko Juarez scored four first-half touchdowns for the Buffaloes   on the way to a 32-0 halftime lead.

Juarez (13 carries, 165 yards) scored on a pair of 2-yard runs, one of 78 yards and on an 82-yard pass from Owen Gulley. Micah Cardoza added the final Manteca score on a 94-yard kickoff return.  

Logan Pool led the Buffaloes defense with nine tackles. Elijah Stevenson and Jose Rios added six stops each and Matheiu Evans made two sacks.

ROCKLIN — Friday night’s Sac-Joaquin Section Division II semifinal tilt between No. 1 Rocklin and visiting fourth-seeded Manteca saw tough sledding for both teams early with a scoreless first quarter and one touchdown apiece in the second period.
