Logan Spear pulled in a 4-yard touchdown pass from J.J. Brawley with 5 minutes remaining, and Ripon held on for the 27-26 win at Hilmar to likely clinch a Sac-Joaquin Section playoff at-large berth in the Trans-Valley League finale on Friday.
Both teams await pairings, which will be announced on Sunday.
Eric Guevera scored a pair of touchdowns for Ripon (2-4 TVL, 4-6 overall) on a 61-yard run midway through the second quarter for a 14-7 Indians lead and again late in the third period on a 26-yard run to give Ripon a 21-20 lead.
Logan Lefebvre tied the game at 7-7 for the Indians on a 1-yard run with 2 minutes left in the first quarter.

Trailing 35-0 in the second period, the visiting Timberwolves (2-4 Valley Oak League, 5-5 overall) got on the board with a 65-yard scoring run by Ryan Reyes.
Sierra got its other score in the fourth period on a 5-yard touchdown throw from Avkaran Athwal to A.J. Chapman.
The Raiders improve to 4-1, 7-3 and will be in the playoffs with the Timberwolves.

Leading 20-7 going into the fourth period, the Lancers (1-5, 5-5) erupted for 28 fourth-period points with Brayden Camara scoring on a 5-yard run in the fourth quarter for East Union.
The Mustangs finish 0-6, 0-10, and the Lancers will await SJS playoff seedings.
