VISALIA (AP) -- Trent Gilbert homered and had two hits, driving in two as the Stockton Ports defeated the Visalia Rawhide 7-3 on Wednesday.

Stockton got on the board first in the third inning, scoring on a solo home run by Gilbert.

The Ports later added one run in the fourth, four in the sixth, and one in the seventh to secure the victory.

Stockton right-hander Casey Meisner (3-5) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing three runs on eight hits over 6 2/3 innings. Opposing starter Ryan Atkinson (2-2) took the loss in the California League game after giving up four runs and six hits over 5 2/3 innings.
