Forty-six Ripon Unified School District students earned perfect scores on the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress.
The students were recognized recently by the Board of Education.
The state testing covered two areas: English Language Arts/Literacy and Mathematics. Sixteen of the Ripon students had perfect scores in both proficiencies. They were David Wang, 6th grade; Brooke Brogan, 7th grade; Anthony Saucedo, 7th grade; Michael Dagget, 8th grade; Macie McPeak, 8th grade; Abel Ureste, 8th grade, all from Park View School; and April Yan, 6th grade; Brendan Lan, 8th grade from Ripon Elementary School.
Those with perfect scores in only English Language Arts/Literacy were Sahaj Gill, fifth grade; Ashley Dillman, Sada Gill, Emma Stock, Samuel Simon and Sophia Taylor, all seventh graders, from Park View School. The eighth graders who had perfect scores included Sanjana Sivakumar, Kate Villegas, and Morgan West. Third grade honors went to Kennedy Wyrsch of Ripon Elementary along with sixth graders Baldwin Kaur and Asia Rose. From Weston Elementary School were Dillan Saltsman, sixth grade; Kate Villegas and Morgan West both eighth graders.
In the 11th grade from Ripon High School were Trent Hawes, Matthew Hix, Harrison Jackson, Andres Merlos and Seneca Rubianes.
Those winning top scores in Mathematics alone were Ella Hernand and Trent Vink sixth graders from Colony Oak. And also from Colony were third and fourth graders Dev Patel and Ryan Bell. In the eighth grade from Park View School were Antonio Cabello, Gabriel Herrera and Mackenzie Jautaikis.
Park View School had four eighth graders with the Mathematics honors: Kai West, Kylie Wolf, and Aaron Wood. They also honored sixth graders Charlie Smith and Larissa Yang.
