I have read your articles about the condition of our sidewalks here in Manteca and how they need some repair.  They are a serious safety issue especially with older people.  

I was disappointed to see the substandard and incorrectly done repairs they have made.  Instead of making them safer they have actually made them more unsafe.  I have seen elderly with walkers having to lift their walkers to get by these. I hope the City of Manteca will stop these substandard repairs and take out what they have done. They could have grinded down some of these sidewalks to reduce or eliminate the protruding edge.

The sidewalks in question are near Sierra High.
