Nettie Yvonne Pendleton passed away peacefully on February 26, in Manteca at the age of 87. Yvonne was born on January 13, 1936, in Phoenix, AZ, to parents Horace and Audrey McMennamy.

She has been a resident of Ripon for the past 60 years.  Yvonne was an avid sports fan, a trait that her father instilled in her at a young age. She was always watching some kind of sporting event, but the 49ers were her favorite. Yvonne was also a faithful member of Ripon Free Methodist Church where she served her Lord and Savior for many years. Above all else, Yvonne was a caring and loving wife and mother that will be remembered for her gracious spirit and unending selflessness.

Yvonne leaves behind her husband of 67 years, William Dean Pendleton, her children, Cindy Martin (John), Richard Pendleton (Ann), Tim Pendleton (Veronica), and Mike Pendleton (Ann),

her grandchildren, Eric Pendleton, Kaeli Gibson (Joseph), Abigail Pendleton, Logan Pendleton, Allison Pendleton, Bryce Pendleton, Cami Pendleton, and Baelyn Pendleton, along with her

brand new great-grand daughter, Bella Gibson. Yvonne also leaves behind her sisters, Darlene Spiva and Helen Bonow, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shirley Olson.

Yvonne was also a special “mom” to many, including Kristie Alexander.

In her early career, Yvonne was a bus driver for the Ripon Unified School District.  Yvonne had a great sense of humor and was always willing to share a smile, a hug and a laugh.  She dealt with arthritis pain most of her adult life, but never complained.

Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Pendleton family. A celebration of Yvonne’s life will be announced later this year. Donations in her memory may be made to Ripon Free Methodist Church.
