Yvonne Marie Brown, age 88, of Manteca, California passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022. Yvonne was born on March 15, 1934 in Oakland, California to Alphonse and Estelle Van Hulle. 

   She was the youngest of four children. Yvonne was married in 1953 to Gordon Brown. They had five children and lived a happy prosperous life in Colorado and California throughout their marriage. Yvonne was a school secretary in the Bay Area for more than 20 years prior to retiring in Oakdale, California where they farmed almonds and spent weekends at their condo in Arnold. Yvonne loved sitting in her backyard and watching the beautiful hummingbirds which is where she spent most of her mornings and evenings. Yvonne had a passion for knitting and crocheting gifts for her family, snuggling her sweet dogs, baking, reading good books, painting and traveling the world. Yvonne was surrounded by all of her family, including grandchildren and great- grandchildren, where she passed peacefully after a long battle with congestive heart failure. She had a strong will to live and just as in life, she was a fighter till the end. 

   Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Jeannette Lawrence (Lee), daughter, Paula Asbra (Greg), son, Gordon Brown (Tracey), her grandchildren, great- grandchildren and her puppy, Lexi, who she lovingly referred to as her little love bug.

   Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Brown, her son, Keith Brown, her son, Steven Brown, as well as both of her parents and her three siblings.
