Willie L. Pinkerton 87, passed away on December 8, 2024, at his home in Manteca with his family at his side. He joins his daughter Laura Pinkerton in heaven.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Rosalee, son Timothy Pinkerton and his wife Nancy of Reno, NV., son Robert Pinkerton of Manteca, and daughter Jennifer Hillis of Manteca.
Willie was a Manteca resident for 24 years. Prior he would call Modesto and Pleasanton home. He was an avid sport enthusiast and played softball for many years in Rodeo, CA. He was a lifelong 49er fan going back to Kezar Stadium. Willie also loved watching the Giants games with his family and spring training with his son and nephew in Arizona. Many of Willies friends remember him listening to country music while playing his many guitars.
Willie was a hard worker and worked many years for Cal Can in Richmond and San Francisco as warehouse distribution manager, finally finishing his career in Modesto at Stanislaus Foods.
Willie leaves his grandchildren, Stephen Hillis and wife Jocelyn of Reno, Nevada, Calvin Hillis and his wife Brittany of Livermore, CA, granddaughter Bailey Cogger and her husband Sean of Anderson, CA and granddaughter Jacy Brown of Redding, CA. Wilie was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Noah Cogger, Nate Croft and Mackenzie Hillis.
