“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage." Lao Tzu

If this quote is true, then William L Price was the bravest man to have lived and our family is the strongest to have been loved by him.

He passed away after a short illness and a long life filled with laughter and love. Jacquelyn, his dear bride of 64 years will miss her best friend and other half until they are reunited. Raised in Escalon, leaving only for a brief military stint and then settling in Manteca, Willie leaves behind an amazing legacy with three children; Dennis Price, Laura Fiore (Victor) and Robyn Price, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as being known as Pop/Papa to many, many more who weren't’ related by blood, definitely related by love. He never met a stranger in his life, whether he was working alongside them or simply checking out at the grocery store. Willie would strike up a conversation with anyone he met, and leave them feeling better for it. He was dedicated to bettering his community with many

volunteer hours spent over the years in Manteca, and loved cheering on his Oakland As through the ups and downs- a true fan. His biggest gift was to bring a smile to anyone’s day and we have our work cut out to continue being a force of love in his place.

A private celebration of life is planned by the family this summer.
