Vivian Lafaye Tolbert “Faye” passed away peacefully in Manteca, CA, on September 19th, 2023 at the age of 88.

   Faye is survived by daughter Donna Victoria Bonin and her husband Tom Bonin, daughter-in-law Tammy Tolbert, grandchildren Laurie, Rita, Art, Elisa, Brandon, and Jesse Tolbert, and 16 great- grandchildren her first great- grandchild being Savanah Fisher. 

  She is preceded in death by husband Chico Tolbert and sons; Jesse and Dwain Tolbert. 

   Faye was born on March25,1935 in Louisiana to Magie Berry and Fred Parson and moved to Stockton, CA as a young girl where she graduated from Edison High, after high school she married Chico Tolbert. They then moved to Manteca 1961 to raise their three children. From this home on Watson, many family memeries have been made over the last 62 years.

Faye loved bowling, bingo, and slots. She was a generous and giving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to spend time camping and fishing with her family. Faye was the type of woman who was always there for the people she loved and always looked out for her family. 

   The funeral is scheduled for November 2nd, 10:30 a.m. at the San Joaquin County National Cemetery, located at 32053 McCabe Rd., Santa Nella, CA 95322 with a reception to follow at the VFW located at 580 Moffat Blvd., Manteca, CA 95336. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Faye’s life.
