Victoria Ann Miller, lovingly known as “Vicki,” passed away on November 13, 2024, in Ripon, California. 

   Born on February 28, 1949, in Atascadero, California, to the late Rowland and Lee Pitts. Vicki grew up in Manteca, California, where she built a life filled with love, service, and cherished memories.

   Vicki attended St. Anthony’s Elementary School and graduated from Manteca High School. She went on to have a fulfilling 40-year career as an optician, where her warmth and dedication touched many lives. Beyond her professional life, Vicki had a deep passion for reading, holiday traditions, and, above all, Christmas. She was known for her love for shopping and her for making her niece and nephews feel special.

   A proud member of the Manteca Garden Club. Vicki served as vice president and was also a devoted board member of the Manteca Historical Society. She delighted in sharing her vivid memories of Manteca’s history and was a passionate advocate for preserving the community’s legacy.

Outspoken yet tenderhearted, Vicki was a source of wisdom and comfort to all who knew her. She gave the best advice, always accompanied by a kind word and an open heart. Her family and friends were her world, and she never missed an opportunity to express her love and care.

   Vicki is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Robert “Bob” Miller; her sister, Dena (John) Rossi; her nephews, Augustino (Estella) Rossi, Albert (Laura) Rossi, and Andrew (Stephanie) Rossi; her niece, Andrea (Jason) Reese; and her cherished great-nieces and great-nephews, Alexus, Ellie, Hailey, Allison, Augustino Jr., Lorenzo, Albert Jr., Tyler (Jesse), and Kawika. She also leaves behind her best friend, Anna Machado Fells; her stepson, Robert (Kylie); and her grandchildren, Robert III, Taylor, Lila, Enzley, Kason and sister in law Judy (John) Warmerdam.

Vicki’s legacy is one of unwavering love, strength, and devotion. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her radiant spirit, her ability to make others feel special, and the joy she brought to the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

   P.L. Fry and Son is honored to serve Vicki’s family. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 2nd, 2024 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. A Catholic Prayer service will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024 at 10:00am at P.L.Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca.  She will be laid to rest at Atlanta Cemetery, 13481 Lone Tree Road, Manteca, CA 95336.
