Timothy Jon Hunter, born on November 15, 1943, passed away on November 10, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
He is survived by his devoted by his devoted wife of 59 years, Donna Hunter, and their children, Tedd Hunter (Suzi) of Ripon and Terri Kadillak (Myron) of Manteca. He was a beloved Papa to Tristan, Tessa, Tiffani, Emma, and Abbey, and a cherished brother to Todd Hunter of Campbell. He is also survived by good friend Daniel Hitzman.
A long time resident of Manteca, Timothy dedicated 34 years of service as a reserve firefighter, demonstrating unwavering commitment to his community from 1970 to 2004. He served on the City of Manteca Planning Commission from 1979 to 1982. His professional career he worked for Occidental Chemical for 13 years as a Maintenance Supervisor, then went into industrial sales at W W Grainger which spanned 15 years, reflecting his strong work ethic and dedication.
Timothy's passions included hunting, fishing, and the meticulous restoration of his 1962 Corvette, a labor of love that spanned 19 years. His pride in the car's white exterior and red interior was evident to all who knew him. He went on to win many Best of Show and First Place Awards. Additionally he found joy in camping and embarked on many memorable trips across the United States seeing every state but Kentucky and Hawaii. Tim also had a love for gardening and spent many hours tending his tomatoes, onions and many other vegetables. Among his greatest joys was going to his granddaughters sporting events. He was one of their greatest cheerleaders.
To those close to Tim remember his steadfast personality and unwavering patriotism in faith, family and country. Over the years Tim endured many health challenges with such courage and strength. He never complained and every day way a good day to him. He will be remembered for his determination and enduring love he shared with his family.
