Thomas Bertram passed away on July 15, 2021 after a short illness battling Cancer. He was 74 years old.
Tom grew up in Santa Clara, CA., and graduated from Wilcox High School In 1967. He then joined the Army and when he came home from Boot Camp he married Julie on December 18, 1967, and we’re happily married for 53 years. After they married they spent two years in Germany were he was stationed. When Tom was Honorably discharged from the Army they moved back to the Bay Area and he went on to get his Business Degree at San Jose State University. He then went into Real Estate and was able to “Retire” at the age of 28 but really became a landlord with all his properties he renovated and apartments he bought.
He loved being around and helping his family and friends with his many talents. He loved gardening, repairing things, woodworking and gave some of the best advice. He loved going places with everyone specially his grandchildren. Thomas will be remembered as being a man who believed in God, a great husband, loving/teaching parent, an amazing grandparent and great-grandparent, caring, positive attitude. A leader and had a great sense of humor. Tom had wonderful family and friends. He was always there to lend a hand. He had the ability to talk to anyone making them feel comfortable, laugh and made some really great life long friends. He was a big guy with and even bigger heart!
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sr., and Dorothy Bertram, his sister Nancy Bertram-Bonds, and foster granddaughter Naomi Blancarte.
He is survived by his wife Julie Bertram, daughters, Stephanie Bertram, Nancy Bertram-Smith, Tami Bauhofer, Leslie Gohier, and son, Thomas Bertram III., foster children, Kelly Blancarte, Kimberly Jimenez, Kenneth White and Karen Cannon. grandchildren, April, Ashley, Joseph, Haylee, Samantha, Lysette, Anna, Myah, Noah and Zoey. Foster grandchildren, Julia, Desiree, Amelia, Rihanna, Gage, Emily, Mia, Logan, Ada, Hunter and Aria, great-grandchildren, Ava and Ariana.
Services will be held at One Church Ripon, 1043 S. Acacia Ave., Ripon, CA. 95366 on July 31st, 2021 at 11 a.m.
