Susan Louise Brogan Keener, a beloved mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and sister passed away on October 4th, 2023 in Manteca, California with her family by her side.

   Susan was born on February 28th, 1949 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. As her father was in the Air Force, she and her family spent a few years in Germany on the Air Force base where she went to school for 1st and 2nd grade; which she fondly referred to as her claim to fame. She and her family then moved to Manteca when she was 7 years old where she became a life long resident; attending Sequoia Elementary and graduating from Manteca High.

   In her leisure time, Susan loved playing Bunco with both of her daughter-in-laws and belonged to the same bunco group for over 10 years. She enjoyed watching NASCAR with her late husband, cheering for her favorite driver Kyle Larson. She also enjoyed watching cooking shows, even though she never made a dish. She enjoyed gambling, playing slot machines and playing Bingo at Chicken Ranch. She enjoyed and spent many years with the Red Hats. She also loved painting and crafting; making the most beautiful gift bows for presents.

   Susan joins her beloved husband David “Bud” Keener, her father Evan Brogan, mother Evelyn Grace Mitchell and her brother Ron Brogan.

   Susan is survived by her son James Richard “Rick” Mason Jr. (Renee) daughter Ronda Underwood Kelling (Andre) son John D. Keener (Tonya) daughter Brandi Keener Travis (Jeff) and her sisters Jackie Cordes and Annmarie Kelling. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.

   Services will be held at 10:00 am at Park View Memorial Chapel, 3661 E. French Camp Road Manteca. A celebration of life will follow at 

12:00 p.m. at Chez Shari, 305 N. Union Rd, Manteca.
