Shayne Allen Sutherland was an advocate for the innocent, a hero who saved lives, a mentor for everyone, a youth football coach, a father, brother, uncle, partner, and a son. He was a member of Glaziers & Glassworkers Local 169 and was an avid fisherman. He was a man of God and believed there was good in everyone.
Shayne Allen Sutherland was born on October 18, 1990, in Mt. Vernon, Washington, and passed away on October 8, 2020, in Stockton, California.
Shayne leaves behind his children, Demetria and Shayne Jr., stepchildren, Zaya, Rya, Boogie, and their mother, Erica of Lathrop. Shayne also leaves behind his mother, Karen Chabiel, stepfather, Dennis Chabiel of Visalia, father Darrell Nolen of Texas, grandfather Chuck Sutherland of Arkansas, siblings, Zach, Nick, Kira, Jayden, Adam, nephew Adin, countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who were all family.
Full of love, laughter, courage, and loyalty, Shayne was everyone’s best friend. You felt how important you were to him. Now, you feel his presence, wrapping his big arms around you, you feel his concrete strength and protection. Shayne loved and lived intensely with profound thoughts and wisdom beyond his years. No amount of shared time on this earth would be enough. His footprints are everywhere we look, and we will carry on his memory and legacy in our lives forever...
