Sharon Lee Higgins died Wednesday, August 15, after a long illness.  

   She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years Jim and her daughter Leeann Higgins, her son-in-law Ryan Ott, grandchildren, Kailee Higgins Ott and Charlie Ott, sister Ellen McCray and brother-in-law Ray McCray, her niece Leslee McCray and nephew David McCray and mother Lorna Boothroyd.

   She was preceded in death by her father David Boothroyd.

   Sharon graduated from Tracy High in 1964 and from Sacramento State in 1968.  She was a dedicated and respected elementary school teacher in Manteca for thirty years.   She was talented mixed media artist.  Her interests included travel, succulent gardening, and doll collecting.

  Her family will miss her sensitive and loving heart.  Nothing was more important to her than her family.

   Graveside services will be for family only.  A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, September 1, at noon at her sister’s house at 1485 Cerro Verde Way, Tracy.
