Samuel George Holbrook, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away on September 5, 2023, at the age of 84. 

   He was preceded in death by his former wife, Shirley, as well as his daughters Debbie Gumm and Diane Troedel. 

   Samuel is survived by his son, David Holbrook (Charlotte), grandfather to Drake Holbrook (Sabrina), Courtnye Holbrook (fiancé Braulio Alvarez), Kaylin Holbrook, Nicole Centofanti (Paul), and Sean Buchet Gumm (David). Additionally, he was blessed with four great-grandchildren; Hayden, Hunter, Emma and Anthony. Samuel is also survived by his siblings; John Holbrook (Denise), Tim Holbrook (Sharlee), Wes Holbrook (Judy) and Connie Baker.  Samuel is also survived by his nieces and nephews, John Holbrook Jr., Adam Holbrook, Cindy DiMaria, Devin, Liz Achee, and Kim Leo.  Julia Coburn, Vickie Rhoten, and Leslie Agostini.  

   Born on June 14, 1939, Samuel served his country with honor and dedication in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict as a Corpsman until he was medically retired. He was a man with a heart of gold, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His generosity knew no bounds, and he would selflessly give the shirt off his back to support those around him. 

   Those who knew Samuel will remember his infectious laugh that brightened any room he entered. His joyful spirit and warm personality touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Samuel's kind nature and compassionate soul were an inspiration to everyone he met.
