Sally C. Morones, passed peacefully in the comfort of her home On March 22, 2023 at the age of 101. She was born Celia Maria Chavez on July 2, 1921 to parents Daniel and Polita Chavez in the village of Vallecito, N.M. In 1929 at the age of eight Sally's parents moved the family of seven to the town of Oakdale, Calif. Where she grew up and completed the 8th grade In 1941 Sally met and married Charles Celio Morones. They built their home in Oakdale for their three children Peggy, Sally Ann, and Billy In 1953 Sally and Charley moved the family to Stockton where she gave birth to her 4th and last child her son Daniel Christopher Sally worked in the cannery for over 30yrs. During which time her first three born left the nest to start families of their own. She was a member of the Teamsters Union for over 50yrs. Sally had several enjoyable pleasures one was to dance, boy did she loved dancing. two was bingo, just because she could be with her friends, three her most enjoyable was her family, especially during the holidays.
Sally was proceeded in death by her loving parents, two sisters; Fefa, Bobbie and her two brothers, Simon and Daniel. Also her son Danny C Morones. Sally also leaves behind her younger sister Lollie C Moffatt the last surviving original member of the Chavez family. Sally leaves behind her three loving children Peggy E Gyles, Sally Ann Willis, Billy (Theresa) Morones. Sally was a grandmother to 10, great-grandmother to 33, a great-great-grandmother to 30. 77 descendents of Sally, Wishes her peaceful rest. Who will be missed dearly
A Celebration of Her Life, will be held April 15, 2023 from 11:00 to 4:00 p.m.
