Ronald “Ron” Bell passed away on May 18, 2021. Ron was born in Modesto, California on August 26, 1944.
He grew up in Stockton and his family moved to Manteca when he was 15. He attended Manteca Union High School graduating in 1962. Immediately after high school, he served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force serving in Tucson, Arizona and Anchorage, Alaska. Upon discharge, he attended San Joaquin Delta College, graduating in 1968 with a computer science degree. He then worked for NCR Corp, Union Safe Deposit Bank and A & A Tool Rental as a programmer and in computer support.
He married Keri, the love of his life in 1981. They enjoyed going to watch the San Francisco Giants, taking cruises, and traveling. He retired in 2010. In his younger years he enjoyed bowling, motorcycle riding, drag racing and softball. Upon retirement, his joy was restoring his 1972 Ranchero and taking it to car shows.
Ron is preceded in death by his parent, Bob and Cecelia Bell and by his brother, Gary Bell. He is survived by his loving wife Keri Bell, sons, Rob and Nick Lind, his granddaughter, Brook Lind and his sister, Trish Bell. Also, by many family and extended family members, friends and amazing neighbors who loved him dearly.
There will be a celebration of life in the near future.
