Robert Valey Smith,76, of Spokane, WA. passed away after a brief illness on May 23, 2024.  Bob was born on July 10, 1947 in St. Joseph, Missouri to  Vurr H. and Geneva D. (Lance) Smith. 

   He was raised in Manteca, California and graduated from MUHS in 1965. He was a veteran of the  U.S. Air Force. Robert was an avid horseman, training and raising roping horses, as well as an amateur rodeo rider and team roper. He owned East West Cattle Company in Cocolalla, Id. as well as Allied Electric Co.

   He was proceeded in death by his parents, and his wife of 53 years Linda (Rosandal).

   Bob is survived by his daughters, Sheri (Marc) Farmham and Lori (Bruce) Cakebread, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren all from Washington, and one brother Randall Smith of Manteca, Ca.

   Services will be held at the Washington Veterans Cemetery, Medical Lake,  WA., August 5, 2024, at 11:15 a.m.
