Robert Nunes, 82, entered into rest on Friday, December 9, 2022. He was born on November 30, 1940 to the late William and Josephine Nunes in French Camp, CA. In heaven he joins his parents, as well as his brother Anthony Nunes.

   Bob leave behind his best friend and wife of 48 years Lynne Nunes of Manteca, his children Stacy Brown

(Robert) of Madera, Brenda Costa (Jorge) of Manteca, Nancy Nunes of Manteca, Robin Haworth of Manteca and Sue Arnaudo (Garrett) of Tracy. Bob was blessed with 20 grandchildren, Richard, Williams, James, Jeffrey, Taylor, Malory, Ben, Emma, Seth, Austin, Evan, Nathan, Mathew, Audrey, Vincent, Jackie, Justin, John, Jeremy, Jason and nine great- grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his sister Elizabeth Campbell and sister in law Colleen Nunes. In addition, Bob leaves extended, family and friends that loved him dearly.

   Robert was a Manteca native. He attended the local elementary schools and graduated from Manteca High School. Shortly after, he joined the military and served proudly in the US ARMY. Bob always worked hard, from a young age on his family dairy and over the years becoming a talented mechanic. Bob was a heavy equipment mechanic before owning and operating Nunes Heavy Equipment. There was not an engine that Bob couldn’t repair or tool he didn’t own. He was a problem solver a creative engineer.  When his children were young he found a way to transform a bus that came honor farm into an RV that was used for camping, long drives and at times when working on job sites, his home away from home.

   Robert was inquisitive, he wanted to know everything about everything. Learning new things was his drive. He taught his children to be fearless and try new things. Robert loved being on the water, sailing on his boat or water skiing. Both adults and children gravitated to Bob. His easygoing spirit was felt by all.

Robert had an endless list of friends because everyone he ever met considered Bob their friend. Over all

Bob loved his family and loved Lynne. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather

and friend.  He will be deeply missed.

   A celebration of life will held on January 13, 2023 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Chez Shari, 305 N. Union, Manteca, CA.
