Richard Anthony Joaquin, “Rick” resident of Manteca born on November 13, 1955, sadly passed away on August 23, 2023. A devoted father, husband, and grandfather, Rick lived his life in service to others, finding joy in his family and a passion for the outdoors.

   Rick graduated from Manteca High School in 1973 and committed over 40 years to the transportation industry as a truck driver, demonstrating his unwavering work ethic and dedication. His commitment also shined in his personal life, where he was an enthusiastic hunter, fisherman, and gardener.

   Married to his beloved wife Karen for 40 years, they raised two sons, Richard and Brandon Joaquin, who inherited their work ethics and love for community and family. Rick took immense pleasure in being involved in their sports activities and 4-H participation, often volunteering at Sierra High football games.

   His adoration for his family extended to his treasured grandchildren, Lily and Bryce, with whom he cherished spending time. He enjoyed cooking for family, especially with his barbecue, and will be warmly remembered at family gatherings.

   A dedicated fan of the Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco Giants, Rick also enjoyed traveling and camping, always ready to embrace new adventures with family and friends.

   Rick leaves behind his wife Karen, his mother Bealy Joaquin, his sons Richard (Lindsey) and Brandon, his grandchildren Lily and Bryce, his siblings Leonard (Vicki) Joaquin, Donna (Anthony) Flores, and Randy (Angie) Joaquin, along with his brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Bill and Treva Andreetta, and Linda and Larry Barnhizer.

   Remembered for his honesty and selflessness, Rick’s memory will continue to inspire those who knew him. His legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of his loved ones.

   A memorial will be held in his honor on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at
