Norman Dale Hixon peacefully passed away October 31, 2024, in Ripon, CA. Norman was born February 10, 1941, in New Mexico to parents, Harold and Helen Hixon.
Norman was a resident of Manteca for most of his life. He served as Principal for the majority of his career at Lathrop, and New Haven Elementary. In Norman’s younger years, he enjoyed playing football in both high school and college, where he obtained multiple degrees. Norman loved the Lord; he was a member of The Way Church where he attended faithfully. His main desire was that all who knew him would see Jesus through him. He loved kids and always had a baby in his arms. Norman will be remembered for his sense of humor, his stories, and his abundance of neckties. Norman will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Norman is survived by his children, Jeff Branscum, Laura Taylor-Miller, Lisa Branscum, Michael Stahly, Michele White, Chris Hixon, and Nicole Bagley; he is also survived by his 25 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, (as well as 2 more on the way), and his sister, Janice King. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Hixon, his parents, Harold and Helen Hixon and his son, John Branscum.
A memorial service for Norman will be held, Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., The Way Church, 715 E. North St., Manteca, CA 95336. In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to The Way Church in Norman’s memory.
