Nannette Marie Giomi, 78, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on January 2nd, 2025, in Manteca, California. She was born in Portland, Oregon, on July 15th, 1946, to George J and Kathleen M. (Carr) Greenwood.

Greatest of all her loves is that of her family.  She leaves behind her beloved husband of 58 years, Terry, her loving children; Terry Giomi (Connie), Irene Malone (Tony), and Rose Giomi. Nannette also leaves 11 loving grandchildren;TJ, Christopher, Nicole and Samuel Giomi; Will and Callie Malone; Miranda Pohlman (Matthew), Michaela Martinez (Kandis), and Malia, Maya and McKenna Linton, as well as her adored four great-grandchildren, Luke, Kyla and Kinsley Pohlman, and Annie Giomi.

Nannette was so proud of her children, her grandchildren and her great- grandchildren. She was always their greatest support, their biggest and loudest cheerleader, and always taught them they could do any and everything they wanted to accomplish.  No goal was too high, and no dream was too big as long as they followed their hearts. Other joys close to her heart were her many nieces, nephews and all of her extended family and friends.

Nannette is preceded in death by her parents, George and Kathleen Greenwood, her siblings George Greenwood (Carolyn), Colleen Breithaupt (Jerry), Dan Greenwood, and Libby Begovich (Michael).

She attended grade school at St. Catherine's in Burlingame, California, where, unbeknownst to her, she started her journey with who turned out to be the love of her life, Terry Giomi.  After graduating from Notre Dame High School in Belmont in 1964, and attending O'Connors Nursing school, she married Terry, and cherished being a wife, mother and an amazing friend to so many.

Nannette's front door on Forestview in Burlingame was never locked as she welcomed any and all family and friends in to visit with a smile, open arms, and a listening ear.  Her love of the beach prompted their move to Fort Bragg, California in 2000. Here she became a beloved member of the community and was involved with the Noyo Chapter of the Rhododendron Society.  In 2017 they moved to Manteca, California where she lived until she was called Home to the Lord. Terry and Nannette demonstrated their unwavering faith in God through their service at every church they attended to include St. Catherine's in Burlingame, Our Lady of Good Counsel in Fort Bragg and currently at St. Anthony's in Manteca.

In lieu of flowers, Nannette requested donations be made to: Notre Dame High School, 1540 Ralston Avenue, Belmont, California 94002
