Michael Rex Spraggins passed away on April 10, 2023 in Stockton at the age of 65.  Michael was born on April 18, 1957 in Greenville, Texas to parents, Billy Spraggins and Evelyn Malone. 

   Michael has been a resident of Manteca for the past 39 years.  Michael was a man of many talents, but he was probably known best for three things, his love of working on automobiles, his love of NASCAR and above all his love for his wife, daughters, grand and great grandkids. As a child, Michael could be seen walking around the service station with a rag hanging out of his pocket, mimicking the actions of his father, Rex. Later in life, Michael furthered his passion of working with his hands as a Helicopter Mechanic with the United States Army.  Through all the years following, Michael never lost his passion and was well-known as the guy who could pretty much fix any issue and it wasn’t uncommon to find his driveway filled with projects. He had the perfect tool for every job, and he had the

willingness to always lend a hand. He was a true friend to so many and will be

missed by all.

   Michael leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Deborah Spraggins, his daughters,

Christa Furtado (Daniel) and Treva Morales (Vincent), his grandchildren, Kayleigh Spraggins, Cassidy Holloway, Mackenzie Perez, Carley Perez, Cooper Holloway and Caden Furtado along with three great- grandchildren. Michael also leaves behind his siblings, Cathy Gordon, Jamie Spraggins and Rebekah Biedermann.

   Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Spraggins family. A

graveside with military honors is scheduled for Wednesday, April 19th,  1:30 p.m. at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.
