Mary Ann Silva, 85, entered peacefully into rest on September 29, 2023 in Manteca. She was born October 11, 1937 in Manteca to the late Manuel and Lucille Silva.

Mary is survived by her sisters Lucille Mota and Rosalie Silva.

Mary was a lifetime Manteca resident. She attended the local schools and would go on to become a nurse. Mary work for years for St. Joseph’s Hospital, San Joaquin General and Doctors Hospital in Manteca. She was a faithful member of St. Anthonys’ Catholic Church in Manteca, but she spread her love throughout all the Catholic Diocese. Although Mary never had children of her own, she dedicated herself to teaching catechism. All the children would remember her fondly. Mary dedicated her life to service of her community and her church. She will be remembered and missed deeply.

P.L. Fry and Son is honored to serve Mary’s family. Viewing will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 9:00am to 11:00am at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. A Rosary/Mass will follow immediately at 11:30 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 525 East North Street, Manteca. She will be laid to rest at St .John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 S. Carrolton Road, Escalon, CA
