Born in Buffalo, New York on February 4, 1958, Mark J Murphy, 64, entered into rest on September 13, 2022 in Manteca, Ca.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Marie Murphy, his brother Tom Murphy and, all too recently, his sister Michele Day.

Mr. Murphy is survived by his loving family, brothers John Murphy and Tim Murphy, nephews, Robert Sena, Michael Day, Ryan Murphy, Timmy Murphy, nieces, Lanette Trickey, Jennifer Wright and Sarah Murphy, as well as great nephews and nieces Anthony, Haylie, Lucca, Tommy, Joseph, Abigail and Giana.

As a young man, Mark enjoyed long distance running and performing in stage plays. He served in the United States Air Force where he worked and enjoyed much of his service in Europe. After his discharge he settled for a while in Orange County, CA before coming to Manteca to be near his family.

In Manteca, Mark developed an interest in guitar, improving himself and others through fellowship in his community and being there for his family and many friends. He loved attending the kids’ events, including ball games, school graduations and other activities and will always be known as “Uncle Mark.”   Mark had an incredible memory, a giving and loving spirit and sly sense of humor that will be missed by all who knew him.

P.L. Fry and son is honored to be serving the Murphy family. A memorial will be on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. held at P.L. Fry and Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, Ca. Direct condolences and live feed will be streamed by visiting Mark’s online tribute page at www.plfryandson.com
