Marie Westerman, 89, previously of Manteca and Lodi, CA, passed from a brief illness (ALS) on May 18, 2024, in Bemidji, MN.

Marie was born February 28, 1935, in San Joaquin County, CA, to Margaret and Harlo Southwick, Sr. The Southwick family moved to French Camp, CA, when she was in the 7th grade. She was a graduate of French Camp Grammar School and Manteca High School in 1953. She had a deep love for music, singing, playing the piano and organ, and writing music. Her and her four siblings danced, tumbled, and performed at Manteca’s Town Hall and many other shows.

Marie is survived by her husband, Ronald; brothers, Harlo (Eleanor) Southwick Jr. and Danny (Joan) Southwick; daughter, Kathy Villegas, sons Mark (Jeannie) Westerman, and Neil (Stephanie) Westerman; 11 grandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She’s preceded in death by her sister, Dolly Sellars; brother, Charlie Southwick; grandson, Christoper Caplinger; and nieces, Denise Southwick and Mary Sellars.
