It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Alice Santos on April 2, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. 

   Maria was born, August 12, 1941, in Faial, Azores. She was a resident of Manteca for 46 years. She is survived by her husband, Joao (John) P. Santos, daughter’s, Anna Kimble (Brian), Mary G. Santos, Alzira Santos (Rick), and Diana P. Bryan; sisters, Marie McDonald and Ilidia Andrade; brothers, Joao Silveira Jorge and Luis Paulo Jorge. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Lexi Bryan, whom she talked about almost every day. 

   The family would like to thank the kind nurses from Lifeguard Hospice, they were a true blessing during Maria’s final days. 

   A funeral service for Maria will be held Friday, April 11, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry &Son Funeral Home in Manteca followed by Graveside at East Union Cemetery.
