Margie Hanz, born on May 23, 1944, in Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024. A cherished resident of Manteca for the past 16 years,

   Margie is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Paul; her loving children, Richard Hanz (Cynthia) and Michelle Ayn Parsons; and her adored grandchildren, Nicolas, Dakota, and Anthony. Her family and faith activities were the center of her world. She was a devoted teacher of the Bahá'í faith, and actively tried to live her faith as an example to family and friends.  She cherished every moment spent with them all.

   Margie enjoyed a successful 10 year career in banking, retiring from Wells Fargo in Santa Clara. Her commitment to her community extended beyond her work, as she was an active member of the San Jose, and Manteca Bahá’í Local Spiritual Assemblies and served for many years in various roles, helping to foster a sense of unity and spirituality in whichever community she resided in at the time  An artist at heart, Margie had a passion for watercolor painting, a hobby that brought her immense joy. Her artistic talents were also showcased in her involvement with the drama club at Woodbridge Del Webb. Her cheerful and optimistic nature made her a beloved member of the community, bringing smiles and positively to all who knew her.  Margie touched the lives of many with her kindness, enthusiasm, and artistic spirit. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

   P.L. Fry and son is honored to be serving the Hanz family. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 11a.m. at Parkview Cemetery, 3661 E. French Camp Rd., Manteca.  A Celebration of Life will follow at Del Webb Community Center, 2401 Morning Brook Dr. Manteca, Ca.
