Louie J. Wyrsch, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on March 24, 1940, in Oakdale, California, Louie was a dedicated resident of Manteca for 54 years. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jewell; his children, Robert Wyrsch (Jennifer), Diana Clark, Richard Wyrsch (Bronwyn), Jeff Mullings, and Jason Mullings; and his cherished grandchildren, Michala, Kennedy, Jennifer, Sean, Joe, RJ, Melissa, Logan, Jeff, and Haley. He also leaves behind his sister, Margaret Luis, along with two nieces and nephews, Debbie Bice and Dennis Luis.
Louie proudly served in the Army Reserves during his younger years, demonstrating his commitment to his country. He enjoyed a long and successful career as a concrete salesman where he retired with Knife River, retiring after 54 years in the construction industry. His passion for classic cars was evident in his involvement with the Mid Valley Chevy Club, Franklin Syndicat and the NHRA, where he reveled in the excitement of drag races. Louie was a man who never met a stranger; his warm spirit and engaging conversations made everyone feel welcome.
An avid collector of antiques and toys, Louie found joy in the little things and cherished the friendships he built over the years. He often reminded those around him of his favorite sayings: “If it didn’t have four wheels, I’m not interested,” and “Hang tough and play it cool.” These words epitomized his zest for life and love for all things automotive. Louie’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness and humor.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Louis’s life will be held on December 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at P.L. Fry and Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, Ca. For direct condolences to the family or to watch the service live visit www.PLfryandson.com
