Lloyd Carpenter passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on October 12, 1947, in Stockton, California, he was the son of Dorothy and Leslie Carpenter and brother of Jim Carpenter, who preceded him in death. Lloyd grew up in Manteca and graduated from Manteca High School in 1965. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1968, demonstrating his dedication to his country.
Lloyd’s entrepreneurial spirit flourished in his mid-20s as he owned and operated several movie theaters in the Bay Area, employing over 300 people. He produced documentaries, engaged in photography and videography, and authored several books, embarking on a nationwide speaking tour. His innovative mind gained national attention with the invention of an anti-aging device in the early 1980s, earning appearances on several talk shows. Lloyd traveled the world, exploring places from the Giza pyramids to the Philippines. He found his soulmate, Anna, and they celebrated 45 years of marriage. They settled in Pasadena, where they built a loving home and made many friends.
Lloyd is survived by his devoted wife, Anna, and brothers Chuck Carpenter, Mike Carpenter (Debbie), John Carpenter, sister Rachel Thomas and his cousin who was like a brother Chuck (Cynda) Dart along with a loving extended family. He will be remembered for his warmth, creativity, and adventurous spirit.
