"Liz" Elizabeth Nunes Campbell a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away on October 28, 2024, in Stockton, California, at the age of 82. Born on March 27, 1942, in French Camp, California, Elizabeth spent her entire life in Manteca, where she deeply rooted herself in her community and family.

   LIz is preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Sutti, her second husband, Joseph Campbell, and her two brothers, Tony and Bob Nunes. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jim Mullen, and her children, Renee Sutti (PJ), Danielle Sutti, Suzette Berhorst (Mike), Joseph A. Campbell, and Marcus Sutti (Lacy). Liz's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren; Mallory, Preston, Kaylie, Desirae, Zachary, Alexis, Gabriel, JJ, and Jakob, as well as her two beloved sisters-in-law's, Lynne Nunes and Colleen Nunes and three great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

   After a successful 30-year career as an accounting clerk with the California Authority, Elizabeth retired, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and hard work. She was actively involved in various organizations, including the PFSA, where she served as past secretary, the FESM Hall, and the MRPS Hall. Her passion for Portuguese culture shone through her participation in festas and support for numerous community functions.  In her earlier years, Liz was deeply engaged in her children's lives, participating in FFA, 4-H, and the Manteca Horsemen's Association and Manteca Livestock Boosters. Later, she became a proud member of the Manteca Historical Society, the Red Hatters, and a senior bowling league.

   A woman of many talents, Liz excelled in sewing, quilting, crocheting, and knitting. She found joy in gardening, reading, working on her family tree and embarking on road trips in search of the perfect antique. She also kept herself informed about current events by reading multi newspapers daily.

Family was the cornerstone of Liz's life. She supported her children in all their endeavors, and her love for her grandchildren was unwavering and unconditional. Known for her perseverance, creativity, and generous spirit, as a devoted mother Elizabeth always made opportunities available for her children by encouraging extra curricular activities. Her intelligence and strong will were evident in everything she pursued.  Liz will be remembered fondly for her caring nature, her dedication to family, and her vibrant spirit. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

   P.L. Fry and Son is honored to be serving the Campbell family. A viewing will be on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 10:00  a.m. followed by a prayer service at noon both held at P.L.
