Laura McDonald, born on October 20, 1964, in Manteca, California, passed away in Modesto on February 14, 2025. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who touched the lives of many.
Laura is survived by her beloved son, Jacob McDonald Erdman, and her cherished grandchildren, Erik Baxter Lee McDonald. and Archer Daniel Lee McDonald. She is also remembered by her sister, Renee Dumlao, and her two brothers, Britt Quintal and Randy Sprinkle and many nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
A proud graduate of Manteca High School, Laura was an avid volleyball player. After high school, she pursued and earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Fresno State, where she proud to be a Bulldog. Laura had a deep love for nature, often spending her time gardening and nurturing her yard. Her green thumb brought beauty to her surroundings. Known for her adventurous spirit, Laura never met a stranger; she would go out of her way to help anyone in need, embodying kindness and compassion. An avid music lover, Laura enjoyed attending concerts and sharing her passion for music with friends and family. Her vibrant social life was marked by her ability to connect with others, creating lasting friendships.
Laura was meticulous in all aspects of her life, from her home to her relationships, ensuring that everything was kept neat and organized. Her warmth, generosity, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
