Kathleen Nascimento, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025, at the age of 77. Born in Stockton, California, on October 1, 1947, she spent the majority of her life as a cherished resident of Manteca, where she touched the hearts of many.

   Kathleen was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Hobgood, and her second husband, Ron Nascimento. She also mourned the loss of her daughter, Traci Hobgood. Kathleen is survived by her devoted daughter, Shelbe and husband Rick Rhodes, bonus daughter Tammy and husband Rick Decosta her cherished grandchildren, Scott (Iris) Klingman, LeeAnne Cardoza and husband Johnny and Donovan Rhodes three great-grandchildren; Preslee, Everly Cardoza and Isaiah Rhodes and her loving siblings, Marie Ray, Patricia  husband Jay Wright, and Paul and wife Angie Keppel. She also leaves behind four nieces and four nephews, all of whom will hold her memory close.

   A vibrant and social spirit, Kathleen became a cornerstone of her community, playing an active role in organizing bingo events twice a week, where many gathered not just to play, but to enjoy warm company of others. Her love for children was evident in everything she did, and her kindness and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her.

   Kathleen was a devoted wife and a wonderfully caring person, always putting others before herself. She was a past member of Northgate Brethren Church and found a welcoming community at Sequoia Heights Baptist Church, where she continued to share her faith and love with those around her.

   As we remember Kathleen, we celebrate her sweet spirit, her generous heart, and the joy she brought to others.
