Jesus Tapia Perez passed away on May 18, 2020 in Manteca, California. He joins his wife of 32 years, Maria, in heaven.
He leaves behind his daughters, Esperanza (David) Shelton of Hanford, Isabell (Oscar) Ramos of Mexicali, Mexico and Susan (Victor) Salazar of Manteca.
He was blessed with eight grandchildren, Ruben Jesus (Amanda) Herrera, Santos Gonzalez, Lawrence (Delia) Gonzalez, Oscar (Devina) Ramos, Monica Revolorio, Nina (Robert) Juarez, Victor (Angela) Salazar, Jr. and Selina (Jeremy) Rael. He also leaves behind many great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his sister Sally Franks and survived by his siblings, Mary Esther Smith, Raul (Armida) Valdez and Egliberto (Sara) Valdez.
Jesus proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1952-1956. He loved coin collecting and puzzles. He enjoyed putting bikes together and was a talented handy man. He coached baseball for his children and grandchildren and savored spending time with them. He will be remembered as a good spirited man who brought joy into everyone’s lives.
