Jenny Laurence passed away peacefully on April 3rd, 2025, from medical complications.
She was born in Handford, Ca. on December 29th, 1936, where her dad had a dairy ranch. She was one of nine siblings on the ranch and was always busy. Although she was given the name Adriana, at a young age her older sister had a friend named Jenny and Adriana refused to answer to any name but “Jenny”, henceforth that was her name as far as she was concerned. She moved to Ripon in 1954 and graduated from Ripon Christian High. Attended college at Calvin college and worked for Clark and Clark insurance company for 27 years.
She enjoyed bowling in the leagues and that is where she met the love of her life Hart Laurence. They married in 1968 and had a wonderful 56 plus years together. After they both retired they loved to travel, took many trips through tour guides but the best trips were when they were on their Honda motorcycles which they progressed through many of them as the two put on over 250 thousand miles over the years. In the later years she would stay closer to home and tend to her roses, read the bible, go to church, deliver meals on wheels and enjoy the senior years.
She leaves behind her loving husband Hart, she was loved by her stepchildren Debbi and Terry, her sister Sara Jensen, her brother George Verburg (Kaylene), three grandchildren, four great- grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many cousins.
A memorial will be held on April 16, 2025, 1 p.m. at Deegan Memorial Chapel, 111 Palm Ave., Ripon, Ca. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to favorite charity or Calvary Reformed Church.
