Irene Eva (Wallace) Southard, 80, entered into rest on December 6, 2014 in Manteca, CA.  She was born on October 24, 1934 French Camp, CA.
   Mrs. Southard is survived by her husband of 59 years Cecil (C.H.) Southard. She has two loving daughters; Debbie Quinonez (Michael) and Sandy Freitas (Frank). She was blessed by two grandchildren; Shelley and Frankie Freitas Jr.
   Irene was a resident of Manteca for over 70 years, where she attended Manteca High School. She was honored to be a homemaker for most of her life always loving her children and grandchildren unconditionally. She was a “professional shopper” endlessly buying clothes and jewelry as she never missed a sale or a great bargain. She was a 49er faithful always cheering her team to victory. She enjoyed relaxing watching her favorite TV programs: Price is Right, Border Patrol and Cops.  She loved traveling to Reno by bus anticipating on hitting the “Big One.”  Her sweet tooth was impeccable especially when it came to chocolate and a Dr. Pepper. She enjoyed visiting local business where she had many personal relationships; her favorites were the employees at SaveMart and Rite-Aid. She had a caring, giving heart where she would give to just about anyone who was in need. Her “Grand-Dog” Harley was her companion as she became extremely attached to her. Irene will be remembered as an amazing grandma who loved her family tremendously. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 
   P.L. Fry is honored to be serving the Southard family. A visitation will begin at noon followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2014 held at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, CA.
