Born on August 25, 1949 in Stockton, Henry “Bill” Stanley, 73, entered into rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior on December 12, 2022 in Manteca, Ca. 

   He is preceded in death by his father Henry Martin Stanley, his Mother Clara Elva Stanley and his sister Clara Jean Moore. 

   Bill is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years Gloria Stanley, the love of his life and his son Henry Stanley “Bill” Jr, which he loved and was so proud of. As well as siblings Mark Stanley of Ione and Timothy Stanley of Vernalis.  

   Known for his wit, laugh, unique hats, his handle bar mustache and his pipe, Bill grew up in Manteca and graduated from Manteca High in 1969. He made his career as a Maintenance Machinist for 32 years working at Lawrence Livermore Lab. Bill was passionate about cars; over the years he restored many classic cars and loved NASCAR racing. He and his wife Gloria, travelled in their RV for many years, all around the country. Bear River Lake Resort was their favorite destination. Bill had a wonderful happy demeanor. He was the go-to guy in the neighborhood, always willing to lend a hand with a smile. Bill was a self-proclaimed foodie and loved to BBQ for his family and friends; he also enjoyed golfing and was talented at photography. Bill will be remembered for his altruistic attitude and his social spirit. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

   P.L. Fry and Son is honored to be serving the Stanley family. A memorial will be on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM held at P.L. Fry and Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, Ca.
